APS Fellowship

APS Fellowship recognizes exceptional contributions to the physics enterprise through outstanding physics research, important applications of physics, leadership in or service to physics, or significant contributions to physics education. Deadlines vary, please see the Fellowship Unit Deadlines page.

Historic Sites

APS Historic Sites Initiative recognizes a select number of sites in the United States where important events in the history of physics took place. The nomination period for Historic Sites runs from November 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024.

Standing Committees

APS is a volunteer-driven organization and since 1899, physicists have contributed their time and resources to running the APS in cooperation with staff. Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis, and more information is available on the APS Committee Nominations page.
